busy thursday evening!

One of favorite people on this planet, one Courtney Cerruti, is having an opening this thursday! Animal Anomalies will be at Paxton Gate for kids starting March 3rd!
Courtney Cerruti is a paper and book artist who studied painting at UC Santa Cruz and University of Bordeaux, France and has taught workshops throughout the Bay Area and abroad. Using everyday materials like paper and cardboard, she creates unique and precious objects that tell a story. Her work has taken a departure from the miniature with her most recent body of work, Animal Anomalies, a collection of life-sized misfit paper animals. Using recycled and found papers and books, Courtney creates one of kind animal sculptures that speak to a tradition of animal taxidermy but are made with paper.

Then around the corner and down the street to watch Jim Nastic play in Needles...

no beginning

But I do have to pick this all up somewhere, don't I? After much neglect and "do I post, or don't I?" Here is a beginning of sorts. Swann Danger are the band in question, shot by me and a certain Skot B., edited by the B. as well.

Shot at their practice space for some gritty meets glam. Overlay of a take of the song shot in the dark with a stobe light.
